Rene Marie Russo is an American film actress and a former supermodel. In addition to her graceful beauty, her continued success in the highly competitive world of film can be attributed to her talents as an actor. The career of her was launched with a modeling job in 1970, then she rose quickly to prominence. After studying acting Russo started her career as a model at the age of Los Angeles. Russo's screen debut was in ABCs 1987 drama Sable, where she appeared as Eden Kendell. The first film she acted in, Major League was released just two years after. Russo played Tom Berengers 'love interest. The critics, initially unconvinced by her acting skills, were eventually won over when they saw her constant performances. Her most adored performance by critics was in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak in which she defended her ground against Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. According to her, she was never a fan for acting. After a lengthy break, she self-imposed the role in 2005. The reason she returned was her role in Thor. Rose Namajunas is one of the top female athletes in the UFC. Her journey began as an amateur fighter, competing in different regional promotions. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her in and then she became a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. Because of her success both inside and beyond the Octagon, Namajunas is known as a common name since joining UFC. Namajunas, a Lithuanian-immigrant, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose participated in many activities as a kid like basketball, and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships made an opportunity to fight professionally at the age of 18 when she submitted two competitors. Dana White was impressed and brought Rose into the UFC's strawweight division at the age of 22 in December of 2014. Her career has had highs as well as lows, yet she is always able to come out of the fight on top. In April of 2015, Rose fought Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale which she took by a technical knockout in less than three seconds into the first round One - becoming not only winning the title but also getting the honor of being named Fighter Of The Night along with creating history within MMA because this was the first time ever that a women was a champion within any major promotion organization across the globe . Namajunas then went on to win several other fights. She also beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, which earned two Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
